National Tweed Day


Tweed is a rough, woolen fabric, of a soft, open, flexible texture, that is woven with different colored threads. Tweeds are made to withstand harsh climate.

National Chocolate Mousse Day


A mousse is a sweet or savory dish made as a smooth light mass with whipped cream and beaten egg white, flavored with chocolate and typically served chilled.

National Find a Rainbow Day


A rainbow is an arc that is caused by reflection, refraction and dispersion of light in water droplets resulting in a spectrum of light appearing in the sky.

National Walking Day


On the first Wednesday in April, the American Heart Association kicks off its month-long celebration designed to help us all become more active. On National Walking Day, participants are encouraged to lace up their sneakers and take 30 minutes out of their day to get up and walk.

Childhelp National Day of Hope


In 2000, the U.S. House of Representatives passed House Concurrent Resolution 76 with a unanimous vote, supporting the Childhelp National Day of Hope. The National Day of Hope is reserved for people across the nation to take time to say a prayer and observe a moment of silence in remembrance of the children who die every day from abuse and neglect.
