National Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day
National Take Our Daughters And Sons To Work Day is a non-profit educational program in the United States that revolves around parents taking their children to work for one day. It is the successor to Take Our Daughters To Work Day, which was expanded to include boys in 2003. In the U.S., it occurs on the 4th Thursday in April every year.
National Poem In Your Pocket Day
Poem in Your Pocket Day began in 2002 as part of New York City's National Poetry Month celebration. In 2008, the Academy of American Poets expanded the event by encouraging individuals around the country to join in and channel their inner bard. Each year on Poem in Your Pocket Day, schools, bookstores, libraries, parks, workplaces, and other venues ring loud with open readings of poems from pockets.
