World Radio Day
World Radio Day is "a day to celebrate radio as a medium; to improve international cooperation between broadcasters; and to encourage major networks and community radio alike to promote access to information, freedom of expression and gender equality over the airwaves". Visit UNSECO.org for more information.
Celebrated the day before Valentine's Day, Galentine's Day was coined in 2010 by Leslie Knope, played by Amy Poehler, in season 2 episode 16 on the popular television series Parks and Recreation. Galentine's Day has transcended the television screen into everyday culture as a day for ladies to celebrate ladies.
