Martin Luther King Jr. Day
Martin Luther King, Jr. Day is an American federal holiday celebrating Dr. King's immeasurable contribution to the United States, and to humankind. Dr. King's birthday is on January 15. Celebrated on the third Monday of January, the King Holiday is a time when the nation pauses to remember Dr. King's life and work, but also to honor his legacy by making the holiday a day of community service, "a day on, not a day off".
National Hugging Day
Created by Kevin Zaborney, National Hugging Day is an annual event dedicated to hugging. It occurs annually on January 21 as it fell between the Christmas and New Year's Holidays and Valentine's Day. While some encourage hugging everyone, National Hugging Day always suggests asking first.
