Constitution Day


Constitution Day, also known as Citizenship Day, commemorates the formation and signing of the U.S. Constitution on September 17, 1787. All publicly funded educational institutions, and all federal agencies, provide educational programming on the history of the American Constitution on this day. When Constitution Day falls on a weekend or on another holiday, schools and other institutions observe the holiday on an adjacent weekday.

National Apple Dumpling Day


Apple dumplings are believed to be native to the northeastern United States, around Pennsylvania. Often found among the delicious Amish recipes, it is frequently eaten as a breakfast item. However, they are also regularly eaten as a dessert and sometimes served with ice cream.

National Monte Cristo Day


A classic Monte Cristo Sandwich is a double-decker sandwich, two slices of white bread containing ham, turkey, or chicken, and a slice of cheese that are dipped in beaten egg and fried in butter. National Monte Cristo Day is usually celebrated halfway to St. Paddy's Day.
