National Raspberry Cream Pie Day


The raspberry is the edible fruit of a multitude of plant species in the genus Rubus of the rose family, most of which are in the subgenus Idaeobatus; the name also applies to these plants themselves. Raspberries are perennial with woody stems.

National Golf Month


National Golf Month is celebrated annually during the month of August. Golf has been played by people all over the world and dates back to the 15th century. In 2009, the International Olympic Committee reinstated golf as an Olympic sport starting with Rio 2016.

National Peach Month


Observed annually during the month of August, National Peach Month celebrates the delicious fruit found in many of our snacks, juices, smoothies, pies and other desserts. China is the world's largest producers of peaches.

National Water Quality Month


National Water Quality month is dedicated to reminding us all the importance of water conservation and what can be done to to minimize pollution such as choosing nontoxic household chemicals, avoiding pesticides or chemical fertilizers, and picking up after pets. Its observed annually during the month of August.
