On June 16, the American Public Transportation Association and public transportation systems across the country celebrate Annual National Dump the Pump Day. National Dump the Pump Day encourages people to ride public transportation (instead of driving) and save money.

Recognizing its universal appeal, the United Nations General Assembly proclaimed June 21 as the International Day of Yoga.
