International Day for Preventing the Exploitation of the Environment in War and Armed Conflict


The UN General Assembly declared November 6 of each year as the International Day for Preventing the Exploitation of the Environment in War and Armed Conflict. This day brings awareness to environmental damage caused by war, such as the pollution of water wells, torched crops, poisoned soil, destroyed forests, and the exploitation of natural resources.

National Saxophone Day


The saxophone is a woodwind instrument, usually made of brass, played with a single-reed mouthpiece similar to the clarinet. The saxophone was invented in 1840 by Belgian inventor and musician Antoine-Joseph "Adolphe" Sax, who was born on November 6, 1814.
